I had two outdated 12 packs of Diet Dr. Pepper that I got from Family Dollar.
That came from your store. The one pop was expired on December 23rd, 2024, and the other was expired on October 9th, 2025.

Odd taste
I am in the Houston area and I also have noticed a distinct change in the taste of regular Dr. Pepper.
As others have posted here, the flavor is off and it almost tastes flat. I thought it was me and checked all my medications, looking for side effects. My wife suggested it might be the product and when I did a Google search, I found many similar reports. These reports, for the most part, do not indicate the region of the country, so that's why I posted where I am.
I have been drinking Dr. Pepper for as long as I can remember, so I KNOW what it is supposed to taste like.
So..how about it Dr.
Pepper bottler, what did you do? And don't say you didn't change anything, there are too many people reporting the same thing.

Dr Pepper has been flat the past few weeks to a month. I've been having to return them and hoping that no more are flat, but I'm running into the same issues.
I'm not sure what is causing this, but I only buy 1 instead of stocking up on it. I usually buy the 4 for 10 or 3 for 11.
They're deals at Dollar General. Buy 1 to test.

To whom it may concern, I need your help. I recently received an email from an individual claiming to represent Dr Pepper.
In this email, they stated that if I apply a Dr Pepper decal to the side of my vehicle for a period of six months, you would compensate me $700 a week. Is this a legitimate offer or is it a scam? Furthermore, they mentioned that a check of $3,750 should arrive on Monday for me to deposit into my account. Upon cashing it, I am supposed to retain $700 and give the remainder to the individual responsible for applying the decal to my vehicle.
I am a fan of Dr Pepper and would willingly participate but I do not wish to get involved in a potential scam.
Could you kindly advise me on the validity of this offer? Thank you.

Aspartame is known to be garbage and harmful but, they keep using it. However, if you aren't diabetic and drink sugary soft drinks, you're fine.
They cancelled the only drink they had, Diet Rite, that both tasted good and was not harmful to diabetics.

This isn't the first time this has happened. I've been drinking diet Dr.pepper for years,it's happening more often than not,and with the prices now days,who can afford to just burn money.
The after taste is horrific,it's like there's an iron after taste. It's hard to was off your tongue even. What's the problem Dr.Pepper!???? I may have to switch to a different pop or even to tea.

It's flat in WI too. Just tastes off for some time now. I've been drinking it for several decades so I know what it is supposed to taste like.
I moved to Florida and the cans are undrinkable. I been drinking the *** for forty years and I'm throwing the cans out.
I bought a 12pk at my local safeway from a display showcasing dark berry. I bought the original and as soon as I tasted it I knew something was different.
I wouldn't say that they it was flat but the flavor was definitely not the same as what I've been drinking for 30 some years. It strangely tasted more like berry or cherry. I thought this was psychosomatic since I had just seen the berry flavors on display. The next day I had another from the 12pk and noticed the same odd flavor.
I went to Costco the next day and bout a 36pk thinking maybe these cans would have been older or from a different source. The taste difference was immediate and obvious.
The new 36pk tasted exactly as it should and had no trace of strange berry flavor. Im not sure if this is a cross contamination issue or what but I do hope that they do not decide to change the flavor of original dr pepper!!!
Yes there is something wrong. I bought 3-8pk bottles and one case was fine and the other 2 are off.
Taste like the syrup is different and less carbonation. Diet Dr.pepper is my favorite but I cant drink it if this is the the new flavor.

They just took my info, said they would send me some coupons for free ones. And I've noticed that alot of the caps don't separate the tamper ring, because the retaining tabs aren't there.

I only drink Dr Pepper, but recently I’ve found that they not only taste bad, and kind of cause a harsh tingling in your mouth, but they also smell bad. Currently I’ve found that pretty much all bottles with the date Jul 18 22 are bad, some with the date in Aug are bad, but it’s very frustrating opening bottle after bottle to find out which is bad and which are ok.
I can’t afford to drink it anymore, I’m spending so much $ on bad soda!!! I’m done!!!
